Premier League coverage is set to undergo a major shake-up with a further sixty games to be aired a season, according to reports. 

The vast majority of live Premier League matches have been recently been screened by Sky Sports and BT Sports.

Amazon owns the package for the Bank Holiday Christmas fixtures and a set of midweek fixtures. 

But Premier League chiefs plan to make more matches available at the next domestic auction. 

According to The Telegraph, 260 out of the 380 matches a season will made available for live coverage.

That's an increase on the current total of 200-a-season. 

The Premier League's current TV rights deal with broadcasters ends in 2025. 

"Meatier" game packages will be available. 

Sky currently dominate the current broadcast deal with four - the equivalent of 128 matches per season - of the seven packages available.

BT Sport have the rights to the Saturday lunchtime games and midweek packages. 

Despite their imminent rebranding, BT Sport - which will become TNT Sports in the summer - are expected to bid. 

While Premier League chiefs plan to make more games available for broadcast, there are currently no plans to scrap the 3pm Saturday blackout.
